It's Monday: Recuperating or Recharged?

Updated: May 29, 2021

How was your 4th of July weekend?

Are you recovering and recuperating from over eating and over drinking?

Are you recharged and ready to take on the week with your best intentions and goals in alignment?

If not, I understand... that was my life for far too long.

I have had so many Monday's when I was recuperating from over doing it.

I'd spend the day in regret from yet another weekend where most of what I did made me feel depleted and not renewed.

Most of the time it was because I over drank.

I'd feel bloated, lethargic, unproductive and spend the day making the same plan that I'd make EVERY Monday... over the last 15 years... I'd plan and promise myself not to do it again next weekend, but somehow I would do it again anyway... over and over and over again.

It was exhausting - I was exhausted - and I was getting worried about my health.

I finally made a plan and learned how to stick to it to make sure my weekends were for recharging:

  • catching up on sleep

  • getting household work done

  • planning for fun activities (that's right... fun doesn't just happen to you, you must create it!)

  • making a drink plan and sticking to it

  • eating healthy foods

Why does it work now and didn't work before?

  1. I didn't know how to manage my mind.

  2. I didn't know about the Self-Coaching Model.

  3. I didn't have awareness of my thoughts and how those thoughts kept creating my results.

  4. I put on my big girl panties and stopped blaming things outside of myself and decided that I was the ONLY one in charge of how my life is (there is no magic pill and I'm certainly not a unicorn) I just did the hard work!

I'm sure you're just like me... you want to feel recharged on Monday mornings, not depleted and recuperating.

Do you want to discover what is holding you back and keeping you stuck?
